    19/10/2020 Duração: 01h16min

Welcome to a super-sized episode of the Add More Mouse podcast! An episode so big, we almost made it two episodes, and then we got lazy and just crammed them together into one. Woohoo! First up, your pals Mike and Dave go through their opinions on the second of selection in their Disney Sequels Miniseries, Stitch Has a Glitch! Spoiler alert: there isn’t much to say about it! So here to bail us out is our friend and first-ever guest, Disney Parks superfan Nick Santucci! Nick drops by to tell us all about his most recent experiences at the Disney Parks during the time of Covid-19 safety measures, along with some good old fashioned nerding out with Mike and Dave about all things Disney. We hope you enjoy it! Please rate, review and subscribe to the show, and feel free to email us at addmoremouse@gmail.com.

  • Disney Sequels 1: Fantasia 2000

    05/10/2020 Duração: 01h13s

Well, it’s been a while since the boys had a technical malfunction. It was a good run while it lasted, though! After a myriad of glitches that amounted to a Herculean editing job and a missing ending, we finally bring to you a fascinating assessment of a movie no one talks about anymore: Fantasia 2000. Is it good? Bad? Somewhere in the middle? Dave and Mike (that’s us) bring you a breakdown of Michael Eisner’s direct sequel to one of Walt Disney’s most important films. Some of it’s great, some of it looks like screensavers now, but we’re here for all of it. Be sure to rate, review and subscribe to the show, and you can email us at addmoremouse@gmail.com

  • Episode 26: Disney Bombs 4: Fantasia

    05/09/2020 Duração: 55min

Yo! Join Mike and Dave as they wrap up their shirt mini-series about Disney Flops with a look at the Disney Classic, Fantasia! Spoiler alert: Fantasia is an amazing film now and it was an even more amazing achievement when it was originally released in 1940. Dave and Mike take a look at the technical marvel involved in the creation of this film, and tumble the rabbit hole while discussing Walt Disney’s plan to take this show on the road to theaters that were specially upgraded with a sound system of his own design. Fantasia remains a critical project for the Disney Company, Walt himself, and animation as a whole. Listen and nerd out with us! Listen all the way in to hear Dave’s story about the time he asked a palm reader when he was going to die! Please rate, review and subscribe to our humble little show, and email us at addmoremouse@gmail.com

  • Disney Bombs #3: John Carter

    11/08/2020 Duração: 01h20s

Oh hi! We’re back with a new entry in our tiny “Disney Bombs” miniseries with a look at the colossal 2012 box office catastrophe John Carter! Though we lay our early on that we are not here just to pile on “bad movies,” we have a lot of questions about this one, such as: Who is mad at who? Is John Carter’s only special power the ability to jump really high? Where is anyone in relation to anyone else? Also, what on Earth is everyone talking about? Is half this movie in a made up language? Anyways, we also touch on some Disney Park news and fall down some rabbit holes like we always do. Hope you dig it!

  • Disney Bombs 2: The Rocketeer

    23/07/2020 Duração: 44min

Mike and Dave are back! Again! For the like the 25th time!   The boys are continuing their miniseries covering Disney films that bombed at the box office, but this is no "bad movie podcast." Mike and Dave are watching these movies that underperformed while in movie theaters to gain some new insight as to what went wrong. Are they actually bad? Were they ahead of their time? Were they mis-marketed? Are they hidden gems worth rediscovering, or should you skip them altogether? This week they focus on the poorly received (yet seemingly adored in cult film circles) film The Rocketeer. Is it good? Is it bad? Were audiences right to stay away, or did they miss out on something truly cool that could have spawned sequels and a toy line? And why is the diner the Rocketeer hangs out in shaped like a dog's mouth?  Before all that, the boys discuss the recently released to Disney+ musical event Hamilton. Listening to the thrilling tales of your hosts' roles in various high school musicals (spoiler alert: Mike pl

  • Disney Bombs #1: The Black Cauldron

    08/07/2020 Duração: 01h02min

Dave and Mike are back with the first episode in a 4 part miniseries delving into Disney Bombs. Did you that the Disney company doesn’t always just print money? They make mistakes sometimes! But we’re not interested in making fun of bad movies (well...we sort of do that). We’re taking a look at Disney movies that failed at the box office and try to figure out why. Were they really bad movies? Was the marketing wrong? Or are they good films that simply didn’t connect with an audience? In this episode we dig into The Black Cauldron, a Disney animated classic that no one really likes except Roger Ebert. Why do the characters look so weird? Why is the opening narration so brutal? Why are this magic pig’s powers so lame? Listen and find out why this film is actually a crucially important film in the Disney catalogue and may have set the course for the ensuing decades of Disney success. Also: our hottest takes on the just-announced Splash Mountain re-theme!

  • Blackish, The Middle and George Lopez: The Conclusion to the Disney Sitcom-Visit Mega Series!!

    24/06/2020 Duração: 01h02min

My goodness! Here it is, the epically sleepy conclusion to our seemingly never ending mega series that looked into every tv sitcom that has taken a trip to a Disney park. Did you ever think we would finish it? We were so ready to be done that we crammed 3 episode reviews into one podcast, woohoo! Join us, Mike and Dave, as we finish out the miniseries that began way back in the winter time and finally finishes up in the beginning of summer. We've all been through a lot during that time, and though a Disney-related podcast may seem extra frivolous during these heady days, hopefully our obsessing over  ridiculous things helps you focus on something fun for an hour! And listen for the end, as we preview our next mini-series looking into Disney Bombs!

  • Modern Family Went to DisneyLand, Too

    11/06/2020 Duração: 01h01min

OH WOW!  We're back!  Yes, Michael and I are still here, still alive, and still talking about ridiculous things.  We originally did a whole episode about our individual experiences through quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic, and then Zoom ate the audio file. In retrospect, that was probably for the best, because we were RUSTY. Now we're back again for the first time, talking about the tv episode that changed the world: the time Modern Family went to Disneyland. Ok, it didn't change the world, or much of anything. But we watched it, because we are committed to finishing this mini-series that has dragged on and on and on and on (and on).  The audio is a little wonky thanks to recording in a socially distant way, but we decided mediocre sounding content was better than no content. Hope you enjoy it as much as we liked making it.
