A South Asian, queer woman in a sport that seems to have no space for either identity. Her piece of mind demanding walking away from the game, but not from the greater fight for inclusion Fast forward to now. Reddy is on track to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a law degree this coming spring, but even in this arena, she still in the game. With the continuing controversy surrounding Penn swimmer Lia Thomas raging, she rallied a group of law student to speak out against the cacophony of voice that have tried to demean this kid, to affirm her right by NCAA rule to take her mark and swim. This week Karleigh Webb sits down with Reddy to talk about a fighting through, fighting back, missing the game she loved...and why the Star Wars prequels were actually really good.
