Reverend Josh Drumm breaks the story down into 6 different components (1)the man, (2) the ability, (3) the goal, (4) the house, (5) the choice, and (6) the storm. Each of this components are a metaphor to our lives. Foundations are expensive, they take time, energy, and effort. A foolish man says it’s not worth the effort to dig deeper. When the inevitable storm comes, the foundation that no one sees becomes the most important factor of the house.
