We welcome our guest, Ayn Cates Sullivan, to our podcast today. Ayn is an incredibly successful, award-winning, best-selling author of many books on the topic of mythology and folklore for the modern age, including Heroines of Avalon & Other Tales and Legends of the Grail: Stories of Celtic Goddesses. When asked her if there was a difference between the journey of a hero and a heroine. She replied, “A hero has to find his strength. He's going to ride into the underworld and he's going to grab the hallows that he needs and he's going to come back with them. On a heroine's journey, we’re not slaying dragons. What we're doing is we're going to the place where the dragon resides and we're going to listen to the dragon. We're going to befriend the dragon, which can mean all kinds of things.
