Football Twaddle

During the lockdown, Saru and Baru started a series called Off The Field on the insider app. They spoke to players and administrators in football across India to get a feel for the context in which the game is played. We are now going to release episodes weekly of the conversation. Last week we released the first episode on the series. This week we release the show we did with Rahul Rodrigues and Ashish Shah.Rahul was the VP-Operations for FC Goa and before that held important positions at Vasco sports club and Salgaocar Football Club. With an education in Football Management, Rahul has been in sports administration all his life. Ashish on the other hand, started off in IT Operations and his passion for running took him into the world of sports. Along the way, he was the CEO of Chennaiyin FC and till recently was the CEO of Odisha FC.We talk about the difficulties in running a football club in India, various aspects of sports administration and also the challenges and the rewarding nature of the job.
