Sinopse

Welcome to my podcast. I am Doctor Warrick Bishop, and I want to help you to live as well as possible for as long as possible. I’m a practising cardiologist, best-selling author, keynote speaker, and the creator of The Healthy Heart Network. I have over 20 years as a specialist cardiologist and a private practice of over 10,000 patients. This episode discusses heart-related symptoms and how to think of the heart like a car engine with an electrical system, pistons and valves, and fuel lines. Problems with the electrical system can cause palpitations or blackouts. Issues with the pistons and valves often lead to shortness of breath and swelling. Blocked fuel lines can cause chest pain or angina due to lack of blood flow. Women tend to experience more shortness of breath rather than chest pain from coronary artery disease. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should seek medical attention immediately.
