During the 40s, Hollywood and the film industry as a whole changed radically because of World War II. Many films released that came out during and after the war were a reflection of that moment in history. A lot of influential and brilliant European filmmakers flocked across the Atlantic to America to escape Nazi prosecution and got work in Hollywood. From 1939 to 1946, the film industry faced a long period of decline and low attendance at movie theatres. What classic films of this period will be on Adam and Anders's lists?
