We have been raised to think love is based on performance and dependent upon our behavior. We are caught up on the torture racks of conditional love and project those concepts onto God our Father.  We have a hard time working through the negative experiences while wading through the disappointment of unanswered prayer to search for ways to experience the love of God.  If we really knew the love God has for us we would be more confident in believing Him for miracles and healing. We would be able to make sense out of our afflictions and safety would replace fear.  Love comes from abiding in Him. Perfect love casts out fear and torment.
