Today’s podcast is focusing on the topic of new insulin therapy and the lived experience. Learning objectives 1. To use a person-centred approach when discussing the changing landscape of insulin therapy 2. To listen to and learn from people living with diabetes about their experiences using these newer insulins. 3. To relate to how our speaker's experience may translate in practice when working with people living with diabetes and their support networks. Our speaker today is Kim Henshaw. Kim Henshaw has lived with type 1 diabetes for nearly 33 years being diagnosed at the age of eight. Kim has participated and volunteered at children’s diabetes camps, led peer support groups and been a Patient Teacher Associate at Monash and Deakin University. Kim has spent the last 14 years of her career working in consumer engagement at Diabetes Victoria. Kim currently works with Diabetes Victoria as the consumer advisor and families program co-ordinator. Note: This podcast series shares individuals living with diabetes
