Church on the Rockers, Merry Christmas to each of you. For many of you, this is the season of giving gifts. I think I have picked a winner for my wife this year. I think. We’ll see. And why do we give gifts? It is so easy to forget. We give gifts in honor of the greatest gift and the greatest gift giver, the Son of God. A few weeks from now, you may have that all to common realization; I have not touched some of my gifts since opening them on Christmas day. It’s ok, it happens. Not all gifts are equal. But don’t let that happen with Jesus. Don’t think of him momentarily and then realize weeks later you haven’t thought of Him since. My invitation to you this holiday season is that you would receive and enjoy the gift of God with us more profoundly and more continuously. It is the gift you were made to receive.
