After a recent client meeting, I felt compelled to share with you the risks of having all your eggs in one basket - or rather - owning just one hot stock as your complete investment plan. I know we all get that itch to double down on winners, but as I have seen many times, letting one stock take over your portfolio can leave your finances scrambled like a bad omelet when that stock comes crashing down. I'm not saying we CAN'T make good money in hot stocks, but decades of data show diversification pays off in the long run. I want us all to profit from the wisdom of experience, not repeat mistakes of the past.
