Paul recounts that when he made his second visit to Jerusalem, he presented the gospel he was preaching to Peter, James and John. In response, they affirmed both his apostleship and his message. But when some “false brothers” tried to get him to compromise, he did not budge for a moment. This story teaches us that the truth of the gospel is a prerequisite to unity, brings freedom, fuels our mission, and creates compassion. Text: Galatians 2:1-10
