I am at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai here on the Big Island of Hawaii. Doing this interview for Emily T Gail Talk Story Show with Kelly Fliear Tournament Manager PGA TOUR Champions Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. aka PGA Champions MEC.It’s coming up January 17-19 which is a Thursday, Friday, Saturday. The MEC has been at this beautiful resort for 23 years. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked on the MEC with the PGA Champions Tour since the first year.Jerry Kelly defends in a field that includes Fred Couples, John Daly, Tom Watson, Olin Browne, Rocco Mediate and many more.Over a million dollars has been raised for non profits and charities with funds going to the Rotary Club of Kona for their Rotary Club of Kona Community Foundation. The wonderful 400+ volunteer effort is under the Rotary Club of Kona with Volunteer Co-Chairs Kris Hazard and Larry Webb grateful for every ones commitment. The Daniel Sayre Foundation and Big Island Junior Golf receive funds from the MEC as well.
