Emily T Gail Talk Story

This is a another "Say nice things about Detroit" segment from my espnhawaii.com Emily T Gail Show. Every show I share some thoughts and feelings about my hometown Detroit or talk story with a guest from Detroit.Julie Atkinson Fountain is a long time Detroiter. She was part of the team at Emily's Across the Street. She ran our plant store in the 70's and early 80's when people were just tuning into having indoor plants and here was a great downtown plant store as part of Emily's. It was unique in downtown and for sure our green thumb spilled out onto the sidewalks with our wonderful flower barrels among the benches and throngs of people who eventually discovered it was fun hanging out on the sidewalk eating a hot dog or licking an ice cream cone from Emily's ....I love bringing people who have a history in Detroit into the lives of those who have become part of the present good things going on in Detroit.
