Winona Chen, Kona Beach & Sports team member and I walk and talk while in the store which Grant Miller started as Hawaiian Pedals in 1989 with nothing but a dozen rental bikes in the Kona Inn Shopping Village (on Ali Drive oceanside in Kailua Village). I love showcasing small entrepreneurs and saying nice things about Kailua Village. Winona shares some good info about what they carry ... the clothing, accessories, footwear for hiking, the beach, running, walking, great tasting snacks that do you good too. I bought my first mountain bike from Grant way back when. They still rent bikes...lots of them. It's a go to place for locals and visitors .. for me, they help recreation fun with the right equipment to fit my budget. Winona and Kona Beach & Sports will be hosting another of the very popular complimentary triathlon training day in February at Anaehoomalu Bay at Waikoloa Beach Resort.
