The Carolina Panthers made a surprise transaction on Monday announcing that the team has waived projected starting nose tackle Marquan McCall. McCall was one of the few Rhule-era holdovers on the defensive line who appeared to be a fit in defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero's 3-4 scheme but Panthers head coach Frank Reich claimed that McCall wasn't "a fit" for the system moving forward.
