Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 86 The Fox of The Arabs Muttawatir Statements Ammar (ra) addresses the opposing force as Believers. Alee (ra) is closer to the truth, the opposing force were Mujtahids and they were thus sinless in that regard. The opposing force thought they were calling to paradise so there is no blame (Imam Qurtobee rah). Thinking good about them requires us to think that their intention was good even though they got it wrong (Imam Qurtobee rah).
