Carolina Panthers Begin Training Camp, Tryout Two Veteran Edge Rushers

The Carolina Panthers season started in earnest on Wednesday morning when the team took the field for the first of it's fourteen Training Camp practices. Training camps opening represented Dave Canales first as the Panthers head coach. Canales caught up with the media following Day 1 of practice to detail where the team is at heading into this important stretch. Julian Council provided his takeaways. On Tuesday morning, Panthers GM Dan Morgan told the local media contingent that the team would "look to add depth at every position" when asked about the depth of the cornerback and outside linebacker rooms. According to Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer, Morgan isn't taking long to do so as the Panthers were set to workout Carl Lawson and Yannick Ngakoue following practice on Wednesday.
