The Gospel reading comes from Mark 6:30-31 - The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” When was the last time you were intentionally silent & alone? When did you last practice solitude? Rev. Andrew Chappell talks about solitude being the "intentional and regaining of the soul," and how practicing solitude without distraction is necessary for our spiritual selves.
