Derek and Frances Baars made national headlines when they took the Children's Aid Society in Hamilton, Ontario to court, alleging their two young foster children were removed from their home because the Baars insisted on telling the kids neither Santa Claus nor the Eastery bunny are real. The Baars’ court application against CAS alleges their charter rights were violated because of their religious beliefs. The case goes to court in Hamilton next week.
