In Rev 3:11 Jesus reassures the church in Philadelphia that He is coming soon, and that they should hold fast to what they have. Grown-ups often use the word soon to reassure kids that they understand the current situation, and can see that a solution is on the horizon. Waiting for Jesus is hard, and can feel like it is taking too long, but Jesus promises to return soon, and not to take forever.
