The Open University of Israel this week held a ceremony conferring honorary degrees to seven individuals recognized for their contribution to research, culture, arts, and Israeli society. Open University President Prof. Leo Corry spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal about the honorees. Corry, who lived for many years on Kibbutz Nirim in the Gaza periphery and who assumed his role at the university days after the October 7th attack, also reflected on challenges the university faced with the war and how it has met them.
