Jemar Tisby is a historian and the author of the New York Times bestseller The Color of Compromise. He serves as president of The Witness, a Black Christian Collective, and is working on his Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Mary McCampbell is an associate professor of humanities at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where she teaches courses on postmodern theory and fiction, film and philosophy, and popular culture. This week we talked about racism: What is systemic racism? What do people mean when they talk about white supremacy? How has the church resisted or reinforced racism? And how are we as Christians called to bear witness to injustice in our communities?
