How does this organization help families affected by CHD?Kate Stacy and Sydney Philpott-Streiff both work at Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation, a nonprofit committed to year-round support for families and children affected by pediatric heart disease. Kate is mom to six-year-old Stella, born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome in 2015. She underwent three open-heart surgeries at two days, 4 months, and 3 years of age. In her early months, she was hospitalized frequently with GI issues but has been very active, happy, and healthy since her last OHS. Kate and her husband Adam also have twins born via IVF, Connor, and Ellie, aged 8 years. Sydney was unexpectedly diagnosed with a CHD at age 27.
