Anxiety disorders affect over 30% of the adult population of the United States. The Bible gives us clear instruction for defeating this black hole that destroys everything in life that it touches. According to Philippians 4, it requires a life-style of prayer, a specific petitioning of God for our needs, and a heart that is thankful in every outcome. But it requires even more-a faith and focus on God that blocks from our vision all of the things that would distract us and instead focuses all of our faith onto the one event that had to happen: Christ's death on the cross which gave us who were dead to be made alive!
