It's interesting that before Jesus taught or performed any miracles he chose to go immediately into the wilderness after his baptism. The Spirit called him to go to the desert for 40 days, to wander, to feel hunger pains, to be tested and to fulfill his role as the New Moses. What can Jesus' model of going into the wilderness show us about testing our callings in life?
