Kai has been surfing in Southern California since he was six. A competitive surfer like his father Warren Kushner, Kai has become one of the top junior male surfers in the nation with the hopes of participating in the Olympics in the future. While Kai spends more time in the ocean than on dry land, his education remains a high priority for both him and his parents. Mother Dana Kushner credits Kai’s success academically and in athletics to a personalized approach to his education.
