Overcoming the Trauma of Hair Loss

Informações:

Sinopse

Chemotherapy induced hair loss is one of the most difficult parts of the cancer journey for many women. For most of us, the good news is that it will grow back. Imagine if your hair doesn't come back. Please join us with our guest this week, TV actress and activist Amy Gibson. Amy's commitment to help other women “look beautiful and feel complete from the inside out comes from her own struggle with alopecia beginning at age of 13, and having to cope with hair loss in the entertainment industry for 20 years. She has spoken courageously before the State Legislature of California to advocate and raise awareness for issues surrounding hair loss for women, has been active in Girls Inc., a non-profit organization which assists girls at risk in building self-esteem, and is an honorary board member for I'm a Kid Foundation, which educates children in the classroom about baldness.
