Nick Davis is a firefighter and fly tyer from Bonita Springs, FL.  He is the co founder of 239 Flies, a shop that is thriving at the same time that so many other fly shops around the country are closing their doors.  Nick sat down with me and told the whole story of 239 Flies which was not only interesting but also motivating.  I particularly liked how he used creative thinking to present something in a completely new way that has resulted in much of his success.  We discussed some key principles which came from a book that we have both read called the E-Myth and how he applied those lessons very successfully to his business.   Nick’s story of entrepreneurship can be applied to just about any other business as we agreed that the path he chose was very likely the least profitable path the world has ever seen.  Despite this, 239 Flies is a thriving business with a loyal following.
