Stephen talks about his fraught relationship with his parents over the years as he struggled to understand their behavior after Jennifer went missing. Stephen’s tireless determination to get to the truth led James City County police to re-open the case and revealed other potential suspects. However, for filmmaker Cynthia Hill, this put her in a tenuous situation as she tried to keep following the unfolding story without interfering with the investigation.
