Authentic Living

…how would we manage our behavior? Won’t we just fall apart? Become the evil we always suspected we were? How will we keep ourselves from hurting others, from sabotaging ourselves, from being unkind, unloving, uncertain…from becoming the worst we imagine of ourselves? Won’t we need something else, like guilt or remorse, or fear to keep us in line? Well, what if you knew that there was someone living deep inside of you who operated out of compassion and passion and who, without the external onus of morality, can guide us? What if that person has always been living inside of you trying to get out? What if, in fact, it is the most genuine you of you, the most real aspect of you? If that were true, if that truth became apparent to you, what would you do? This week, we are going to decide together whether or not this is true, and if it is, what we can do about it.
