As Paul writes to the Corinthian church, he encourages them to take hold of the responsibilities they have been given through depending on God’s mercy and love. With great responsibility comes great reward. Paul remind them they will be hard pressed but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, and struck down but not destroyed.
