The Clemson Tigers defied expectations this season by making it back to the College Football playoff for the third straight year but ultimately fell short of their goal as the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled the Tigers in the Big Easy on Monday night. The Clemson offense was stymied by the Alabama defense and failed to generate any momentum all night in what should send the Clemson coaching staff back to the drawing board this offseason to regroup and retool. In a season of lowered expectations with pleasantly surprising results the team and coaching staff is to be commended on what was still a successful year that included a third straight ACC championship. The future is bright for Clemson Football and this is just a bump in the road as the 2018 class brings in a bevy of talent and the returning veterans will undoubtedly be playing with a chip on their shoulder after an embarrassing loss to end the season. And with that the Tigers pass on the College Football crown. It was one hell of a ride. Go Tigers!!!
