Taking Christian Rap to the Clubs: The Controversy After reading an article about Rachelle Starr who took LeCrae’s CD Rebel into the Louisville strip clubs as part of her ministry Scarlet Hope, I was inspired to talk about the variety of methods Christians are using to try and reach the lost. At first, I was skeptical to say the least. Yet, as I began to research more about Scarlet Hope, beyond the LeCrae instance, I found there was a lot more to the story. So this episode examines the controversy of her approach as well as instances in Scripture where God instructs His prophets to take some seemingly controversial and strange actions as a part of their ministry to Israel.
