Message #317 The Foundations of the Gospel, Part V - Acts 13:23-41 Sunday, April 1 2018 Context summary: Paul reviews Israel's history from the Passover (Exodus 12), to whom the Passover foreshadowed, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). "For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us." (1 Corinthians 5:7b) What was John the baptist's message? (Acts 13:24) John the baptist called all to "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" (Matthew 3:2) John was a fulfillment of Isaiah 40:3 (NKJV) The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God."
