Journalist Lawrence Wright's new book "The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9-11." traces the rise of Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden, leading up to September 11 and also the failure of American intelligence to prevent it. It is based on five years of research and more than six-hundred interviews and won the 2007 Lionel Gelber Prize for the best work on international affairs. (Original air date May 2007)
