Schmidt Talking

On this week's episode, Kyle Allan and Alec Walt discuss one of Mark Schmidt's biggest signings in his St. Bonaventure coaching career. The Bonnies landed coveted big man, Osun Osunniyi. The Bonnies outlasted the Hoyas of Georgetown and their hated rival Syracuse Orange for the coveted 6-10 Center out of Putnam Academy. He leads an already highly touted recruiting class but brings the Bonnies quality assurance that they will be set in their frontcourt for the foreseeable future. The Bonnies also brought in Bobby Planutis, a transfer from Mount St. Mary’s meaning he will have to sit out this upcoming season. It is one of the most interesting signings in Schmidt’s tenure as he has never recruited such a consistent three-point shooting big man.
