There is a lot of teaching around about the Father Heart of God and yet there is also the the 'Mother' heart of God's character that needs to be identified for us to understand Him in fullness and wholeness. The nature of God is not masculine or feminine in the biological sense, but in the spiritual sense of the word as loving, nurturing parent! God describes himself as a mother hen who stretches out her wings to protect and nurture her offspring. He wants us to know His gentle, tender and merciful heart towards us.
