The Jayhawks fell behind in the second half in large part because of the post presence both in the point column and on the glass from Texas in the final 20 minutes. Texas sophomore Damion James scored 12 of his 14 points after the break and ripped down all 13 of his rebounds in that period. In fact, he outrebounded KU 13-12 in the second half.
