Stained by Misunderstanding Luke 2:41-52 Joseph and Mary were confused. Jesus had slipped away from their care so that He could teach in the temple courts. Even after He explains that He had to be in His Father’s house, “they still did not understand what He was saying to them” (verse 50). What parts of Christianity confuse you? We are to trust that, by God’s Spirit, that which is mysterious can be made clear, for we have been promised insight by “the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16).
