#010: Today we’re talking about something near and dear to my heart, which is the balancing act that we as creative people have to do between following our passions and what excites us and making money. In order to be happy with your job you need three things: you need to be passionate, you need to be good at it, and you need to be able to make money that supports your idea of a comfortable lifestyle. If you’re good and passionate, but not making any money, you’ll lack financial security. If you’re passionate and making lots of money, you’ll look a fool and I highly doubt you’ll be able to maintain the facade or move far up the latter. If you’re good at what you do and are making a lot of money, but you’re not passionate, you’ll wind up unhappy. How do we find the perfect combination? ...
