Message #368, Acts 28:1-16, "Until The Lord Comes" Part I Sunday, April 7, 2019, As we begin the final chapter of the Acts of the Apostles, we observe God's fulfillment of His promise to the Apostle Paul to bring him to Rome (Acts 23:11). Paul's journey was full of obstacles, adversity, and delays. And yet throughout the unfolding of God's will, we see opportunity for both trust and discouragment. The first question we will address is: How does an accurate knowledge of God teach us to understand our circumstances? (Acts 28:1-16) Next Sunday, we will answer the question of does God measure success by metrics or by character? (Acts 28:17-31) *Earlier in the message (around 5:14 in the recording), Pastor Sean mentions Jesus being born. This is to be understood within the biblical context of Isaiah 9:6 and John 1:1-14. These passages acknowledge the eternal Son of God, who always existed, and through the miracle of the incarnation and the virgin birth, took on flesh. Related verses: Acts 27:2, 24, 3
