Amber K. Boyd was inspired by the character Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. After reading the book she had a vision that she wanted to be like Atticus Finch and help people especially in the area of civil rights.  After graduating law school, Amber took a job with Nationstar Mortgage where she worked on mortgage compliance.  She soon realized that she was not following her heart and quit her job to open up her own practice where she could fulfill her vision of helping people with civil rights issues.
