Uncommon Interest

Richard Taylor is the Head of the Physics Department and Head of Fractal Research at the University of Oregon. Taylor has published more than 300 papers. He is also a trained painter, photographer, and a marathon runner. Taylor takes an interdisciplinary approach to his research studying fractals, having training and a fascination in both the arts and the sciences. Taylor's work has been featured in television documentaries such as The Art of Science (ABC, 1998), Hunting the Hidden Dimension (PBS, 2008) and The Code (BBC, 2011).
