Heat wave abates across the South my mid-week and heavy rain and storms for much of the East Coast. - A cold front will produce severe storms with damaging winds and heavy rain across the Tennessee Valley, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast on Tuesday. This cold front will sweep in the south with strong to severe storms on Wednesday.
