Don Elgin is a three time Paralympian having competed at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Paralympic Games winning a total of 3 bronze and 1 silver medal. Don has an exceptional outlook on life and shows why no situation nor circumstance should ever bring his life down. We delve in to some of the hardships that have plagued his life, especially in his younger days and how he overcame that with a winning mindset. Don is the founder of StarAmp Global where he helps manage Paralympic competitors. In 2000, Don was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for his service to amputee sport and in 2006 he was the Australian flag bearer at the IPC World Athletics Championships. He is an award winning Author for his book 'One Foot on the Podium', which he then went on to release his second book 'One Foot Beyond the Podium'. Don now spends his time doing various motivational talks around the world, working as a facilitator for Leading Teams, managing athletes through his company StarAmp Global and being an all-round legend at life.
