She has written for magazines and newspapers throughout the country and works regularly with the United Nations in New York on issues related to decolonization, disarmament, human rights and the environment. As an undergraduate at Bennington College she studied poetry with Mary Oliver. Later she took her master’s from the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences where her work focused on media, journalism and the Middle East.
