The story of Lazarus' death and resurrection is rich with theological implications of how God govern his creation and works in the stories of those whom he loves. God is for God first, but this does not negate the fact that he is for those whom he loves and we must remember when we can't see him working in our story the way we hoped, he is still working and wants to take us deeper than we would allow ourselves to go.
