Part 3: The Christian Race When in a Race, our attitude, faith in our teacher, Endurance, and urgency is different. When the Apostle Paul was near death, he wrote to one of his disciples, Timothy. In 2 Timothy 4:7 Paul says “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Paul Paul also said while writing to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize.” A. Attitude: As Pastor Todd White says it so well, “I don’t get an attitude, I get gratitude.” The runners who win races never have excuses. You would never hear the winner of a race say, “It’s so hard to run in the rain... its too cold... the other runner made a mean face at me!” No, a winning attitude is one of gratitude. Winning runners are grateful for the challenge, the opportunity to grow, and they focus only on the prize. B. Faith in our teacher (coach): As an athlete trains for a race, so must we t
