Winter Storm To Bring Hazardous Weather Across the Central/Eastern U.S. This Week - The winter storm will center over the southern Plains Tuesday before shifting to the Northeast through the rest of this week. A band of snow and ice is expected to develop along a front extending from the storm center to the interior Northeast mid to late week. South of this front, severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall with a risk for flooding are forecast over many of the Southern states.
